Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 7 Jun 2026
1. Our commitment
Localtable is committed to making its website accessible to as wide an audience as possible, regardless of device, browser, or ability. We believe that every visitor should be able to browse session listings, read descriptions, and send an enquiry without running into unnecessary barriers.
This statement applies to the website at localtable.blog.
2. Conformance target
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility. This covers a broad range of recommendations for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive impairments.
3. Measures we have taken
To support accessibility across this site, we have put the following into practice:
- Semantic HTML — pages are built with landmarks (
<header>,<main>,<footer>,<nav>), headings in logical order, and native elements such as<dialog>and<details>used for their intended purpose. - Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields, toggles) can be reached and activated using a keyboard alone. Focus rings are visible and have sufficient contrast.
- Colour contrast — all text-to-background combinations meet or exceed a 4.5:1 contrast ratio, tested against the site's design palette.
- Reduced-motion support — any animation on the site respects the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query; content is fully visible without any motion. - Descriptive alt text — all content images carry meaningful alternative text that describes the subject rather than repeating a caption.
- Labelled form fields — every input in the contact form has a visible and programmatic label associated with it, including required-field indicators.
- Accessible modal — the cookie consent dialog uses the native
<dialog>element with proper ARIA roles, focus trapping, and keyboard dismissal via Escape. - Responsive layout — the site is usable at any viewport width and does not require horizontal scrolling on standard mobile screen sizes.
4. Known limitations
We do our best to maintain a fully accessible site, but a few limitations are worth noting:
- The Google Maps iframe embedded on the homepage is provided by a third party and may not be fully keyboard-navigable in all browsers.
- Content images sourced from a placeholder service (used during development) may not always carry the most descriptive alt text; these are replaced with site-specific images during deployment.
We are working to address these and will update this statement when changes are made.
5. Feedback and reporting
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site — a page that is hard to navigate, a form field that is not labelled, or any other issue — we want to hear about it. Please contact us:
- Email: [email protected]
- Phone: +66 93 508 7162
- Post: Localtable, 22 Maharat Road, Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200
We aim to acknowledge reports within two working days and to resolve confirmed issues as soon as reasonably practical.
6. Date of this statement
This accessibility statement was prepared on 7 June 2026. It is reviewed and updated when significant changes are made to the site or when issues are identified and resolved.
